Only a 30-minute drive from our bed and breakfast location, you can find the PA Renaissance Faire. Since 1980 they have been entertaining young and old alike with a variety of old time games, jousts, and much more, along with interacting with costumed characters. They open in August and run until the end of October with themed weekends celebrating the old European heritage. You will also find many unique food and drink, and merchant vendors scattered all throughout the property.
The PA Ren Faire is only open on Saturdays and Sundays, with the hours being 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM, with a sunset pass available on each day at 4:00 for a shorter visit until closing. Listed below are this years themed weekends with the date and theme.

With a large layout of events going on simultaneously around the grounds, you can be exposed to some loud noises, such as whip cracking, black powder firing, cannon fire, explosions, and fireworks, all surely to add to your existing great time!
PA Renaissance Faire operates other adventures throughout the rest of the year. Join them for Yuletide where Dickens characters abound, where even the scroogiest of scrooges will crack a smile and enjoy the winter wonderland surrounding them. Mount Hope Mansion will also be open, decorated for the season, adding to the festival going on outside. Food and Pour House vendors will be open, along with many other merchants selling their wares. The hours are 11AM -4PM and the dates for this are as follows: 11/29-12/1; 12/7-12/8; and 12/14-12/15.
